how do you have your cell phone information removed from public records?

I’ve just seen an add for a set of instructions to have your phone number removed from public records, that they are charging $5.00 for, and I know someone has to have that answer that is willing to make the information available for free.
there is no point getting rid of it. someone who really wants to know can find out anyways. i suggest either making your own phone totally from scratch or not getting rid of the record at all. the $5 is a waste of money.
Change your cell phone number or switch to pre-pay.
This free link will eventually eliminate all unwanted calls. Use this for cell and land lines, keep in mind that cellular companies can and do sell their numbers. If you really don’t want to be found use a pay as you go- it will just cost you more.
